This Mall Has Gaming Pods For Wives To Leave Their Husbands

…or husbands to leave their wives.  This is 2017, after all.

An adult male sitting inside a glass pod playing video games.

Male or female (or other), there is nothing worse than being dragged around a shopping mall by your significant other.  Trying to fake a mild interest in the seventeenth outfit you’ve been asked to judge knowing full well it isn’t going to be going home with you takes the heart of a saint.

Rejoice!

Well, you can if you’re local to The Global Harbour mall in Shanghai.  The Global Harbour is launching gaming pods for significant others to get their game-on while their partners browse stores in peace.

So, reluctant shoppers the world over have reason to rejoice at a new innovation in China.

The Global Harbour mall in Shanghai is launching gaming pods for bored significant others to play on gaming consoles, whilst their other-halves can get on with shopping without any moaning.

The pods, dubbed “husband pods”, are free to use and have a chair, monitor, computer and game controller.

Check this out:

The name is sexist (something we certainly do not condone), but the premise itself is pretty awesome.  I’d certainly be down for a few more trips to the mall if these were installed here in the UK.  But, don’t tell my wife.

What do you think?
