Alyson Court not reprising her role in RE2 Remake

It’s official: Alyson Court, who voiced Claire Redfield in the original Resident Evil 2, will not be returning for the remake.

As confirmed by Twinfinite, Alyson Court was asked to reprise her role in the Resident Evil 2 remake. However, due to Capcom going non-union, the company made the decision not to cast her in the remake.

Alyson has history with the Resident Evil franchise, having voiced Claire in 1998’s Resident Evil 2, 2000’s Resident Evil Code Veronica, 2008’s Resident Evil Degeneration, 2009’s Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles and 2012’s Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City. She was replaced in the 2015’s Resident Evil Revelations 2, in which Claire was voiced by a different actress, but there was still hope of a return with this remake.

I have been a gamer since the 90s. I mostly pay attention and cover horror, simulation, retro games and ports with some exceptions. My favorite game of all time is The Sims Bustin Out.
