Battlefield 1: They Shall Not Pass DLC Full Details Released

In a post on their website, DICE shared details about Battlefield 1’s first paid expansion, They Shall Not Pass, including the new weapons, maps,  items, mode, and more.

The post notes that the French-themed add-on features four new maps: Fort Vaux, Soissons, Verdun Heights, and Rupture.

The French army is also added to the battlefield, whose soldiers wear blue uniforms.  There is also the addition of the Char 2C tank, which is based on a real tank and is a new behemoth-class vehicle.  Another tank, the St. Chamond, is also added.

A new Elite class called Trench Raider is also included.  Trench Raider is a melee-focused class, who use a “Raider Club” and has access to an arsenal of grenades.  Further new weapons include a new stationary field gun, the Siege Howitzer, which can be fired by any infantry player.

As if that wasn’t enough, They Shall Not Pass also adds an all-new game mode called Frontlines, which is described as a mix of Conquest and Rush.

The description notes that “both teams fight for one flag at a time and when this objective is captured the action moves on to the next.  Capture the enemy’s HQ control point and the game turns into a Rush-style section where telegraph posts need to be attacked or defended.”

No release date has been announced as yet, however, the They Shall Not Pass DLC is expected to release at some point in March.  Battlefield 1 Premium Pass players will have access to it, and the other three upcoming expansions, a full two weeks before other players can purchase them.
