A view of space in Mass Effect Andromeda

Mass Effect: Andromeda in 4K HDR Is Breathtaking

Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch next week.  In the interim period, Nvidia has put together a 4K HDR gameplay video.  It’s stunning.

The video explains some of the tech behind the forthcoming Mass Effect title, and shows exactly how the game can look when the visuals are dialed up.  Those without the capability to watch in 4K HDR will still be impressed – Andromeda is graphically breathtaking.

The video is below:

PS4 Pro players will be able to play Andromeda with HDR and enhanced graphics, while the PC players with supported hardware will have 4K HDR.  It might finally be time to upgrade to that Nvidia GTX 1080, or even a 1070.

Screenshot whores like myself will also be delighted to hear that Andromeda also supports Nvidia Ansel in-game screengrabbing, which takes 360 screenshots to be viewed with a VR headset or to interact with on a normal screen via a browser. I can’t wait.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is scheduled for release in North America on March 21 and in Europe on March 23.
