Resident Evil 2 Remake features all new voice cast

It’s official; Alyson Court, Matt Mercer and Courtenay Taylor have confirmed they are not returning for the remake.

As we reported, Alyson Court, who voices Claire, announced she was not returning to the game after being dropped from the project due to union issues. Now, according to official Twitter feeds from Matt Mercer (Leon), and Courtenay Taylor (Ada), they will also not be returning to the project.

When asked, if he was returning, Matt replied:

Me thinks. Same experience as Allyson regarding this project.

When asked the same question, Courtenay Taylor replied:

Unfortunately, no. I loved voicing Ada Wong and would happily do it again if a Union project comes around ❤️

That pretty much settles it. If the main three cast members of the game aren’t returning, it’s pretty guaranteed that the side characters such as Birkin, Irons, and Sherry will also be recast. This wouldn’t be the first time this was done, however; as the 2002 remake of Resident Evil also features all new voice actors as well.
