Rocket League On The Nintendo Switch? Yes Please!

It’s official: Rocket League is coming to the Nintendo Switch.  Finally, you’ll be able to score rocket-fueled wonder-goals while waiting for the bus.

Yes, you read that right.  The award-winning Rocket League is headed to the Nintendo Switch, and will feature cross-platform play.  This will enable Switch players to play with, and compete against, fans who have the game on the Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam.  Unfortunately, the cross-platform play does not extend to the PS4, as Sony has elected not to opt-in.

Rocket League’s official site notes that, “Rocket League on Nintendo Switch will have all of the same content, features, and updates that we’ve released on other platforms in addition to exclusive Battle-Cars and Customization Items, like Mario and Luigi hat Toppers. It will also support all of Nintendo Switch’s play modes, including TV Mode (docked), Tabletop Mode, Handheld Mode, and both Online and Local Multiplayer. Online Multiplayer supports up to eight players.”

An official release date has yet to be confirmed, however it is expected that Rocket League will be available during the 2017 holiday season.
