Silent Hill composer Daniel Licht has died

Silent Hill composer Daniel Licht has died at age 60 after a battle with cancer.

Licht entered the series in 2012 to fill in for Akira Yamaoka after he had parted ways with the franchise after having composed the soundtracks to every game and movie up until 2012.

Starting that year, Licht would become the new composer for the franchise; composing the most recent main entry, Downpour, and the spinoff, Book Of Memories.

While I personally did not enjoy the music direction for Book Of Memories that Licht took; I did really enjoy his work on Downpour, especially the main theme.

I have been a gamer since the 90s. I mostly pay attention and cover horror, simulation, retro games and ports with some exceptions. My favorite game of all time is The Sims Bustin Out.
