3 Potential Xbox Project Scorpio Exclusive Launch Games

Xbox Project Scorpio will need a big launch if it is to be successful – these are the exclusives that could accompany Microsoft’s incoming system.

We have already written about the 4 things that Xbox Project Scorpio needs to get right if it is to be a success.  One of the most important things Microsoft needs to get right is a strong set of exclusive launch titles.

There are 3 exclusive games that could be huge titles to launch with the system.  We’ve excluded games like Cuphead which are expected to be released before the Switch (though we think Cuphead is going to be amazing).

Crackdown 3

Crackdown 3, being developed by UK studio Reagent Games, is the third installment in the futuristic open-world series. Players control a secret agent with incredible powers, including super strength, speed, agility, and more.

Players will be free to roam the cel-shaded metropolis by foot, car and possibly air much in the vein of the previous titles and the Grand Theft Auto franchise.  The potential for mayhem is endless.

Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves is an action-adventure game being developed by Rare.  Players take the role of pirates and must co-operate in an online world full of treasure and adventure, working together to crew a ship.

Players will be able to customize their character with their chosen gender, physique, appearance, and outfit.  And, yes, you can have a peg leg.  There will be no classes or specializations; Sea of Thieves will be focused on skill rather than a grind to the next level.

Sea of Thieves promises a world of adventure as players sail the high seas in search of treasure.  Swashbuckling is not optional.

State of Decay 2

State of Decay 2, being developed by Undead Labs, is the sequel to the very popular Xbox 360 title of the same name. The original game was a single player affair and had players battling a zombie apocalypse with fellow survivors.

State of Decay 2 takes the action online, though players will have the option to enjoy the game solo should they wish.  Online players can team up with up to three friends, taking on the zombie hoard as a unit.

State of Decay 2 is expected to boast improved performance, textures and resolution on Microsoft’s new Xbox Project Scorpio platform.  With all of the attention being given to Days Gone, State of Decay has the potential to steal some of Sony’s thunder.

There are likely to be other, as yet unannounced, titles that will accompany Xbox Project Scorpio, but of the already announced games, we feel that these three have the potential to showcase the true power of Scorpio.
