Ubisoft’s ‘SURPRISE’ Nintendo Switch Game

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has praised the Nintendo Switch in a Facebook post and has hinted at a “surprise” title for the hybrid console.

Writing on Facebook, Yves wrote:
“With the Switch’s unique capacities and design, Nintendo could again redefine the way we play games! The Switch is accessible at its core and will give people the freedom and the pleasure to share more experiences and play anywhere at anytime. The Ubisoft teams developing games for the Switch are inspired by these new possibilities, and I’m really happy that we’re able to continue doing great things with Nintendo. In addition to Just Dance 2017, I think there’s at least one game that will definitely surprise you!”

Could this “surprise” game be an already existing franchise or a completely new title?

It has been suggested that, given the timing of the Nintendo Switch release in March 2017, the game could be Ghost Recon: Wildlands, however, it could very well be an entry in the Assassins Creed franchise. Whether the Switch has the hardware power to replicate a full historical city remains to be seen.

Could The Division be a possibility? Nintendo has suggested that they are not targeting “core” gamer’s, but having an online shooter with the depth of The Division would certainly shift a few units. Once again, there are questions about the feasibility of running this complex beast on Nintendo’s hardware, but we can hope.

Watch Dogs, Far Cry, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell…maybe even a new Prince of Persia title?

What game would YOU like to see come to the Nintendo Switch?
